Democracy and e-democracy thank to life skills improvement, participative cultural researches and creative laboratories
The project aims to explore, rework and reconstruct in collective terms the contemporary perception of European common history, identity and culture, in order to foster dialogue and participation on a democratic level. The project aims to explore, rework and reconstruct in collective terms the contemporary perception of European common history, identity and culture, in order to foster dialogue and participation. More specifically the project:
-Want to create knowledge on the legacy of past, in order to draw an important lesson for today: dealing with the historical theme of totalitarianism, the project wants to achieve the importance of democracy (democracy is a priority of the project);
-The project looks at digital media as the most important one to reach the newer generation: digital can reduce the distance, and give access on a broader scale to educative content (media critics is a priority of the project);
– The project will create a lasting network of collaborations between partners and engage citizens of different nationalities, ages and social classes. The output includes the making of 4 international events and 2 exhibitions, with the partnership of 7 countries (Italy, Croatia, Latvia, France, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium).
Three approaches will be used:
1. The first provides two historical research and dissemination activities, allowing the collection and digitize testimonies by veterans of resistance;
2. The second provides two participatory events that give voice to civil society, especially young people: events will gather perceptions about contemporary European history, values and mechanisms, and educate about that at once;
3. The third uses a creative approaches: a selection of artists that will engage young people in a reflection on the democracy thanks to creative laboratories (and related exhibitions) All the material produced during these events will be documented, collected into a book and transformed into an educational tool.
The project aims to explore, rework and reconstruct in collective terms the
contemporary perception of European common history, identity and culture, in order
to foster dialogue and participation on a democratic level.
More specifically, the project wants:
- To create knowledge on the legacy of the past, in order to draw an important lesson
for today: dealing with the historical theme of totalitarianism and democracy
building, the project wants to spread the importance of democracy for today
and for tomorrow, revealing important knowledges in the democratic
mechanism (democracy is a priority of the project);
- The project looks at digital media as the most important ones to reach the newer
generations: digital can reduce the distance, and give access on a broader
scale to educative contents, informations rather than disinformations (media
critics and e-democracy are priorities for the project);
- The project will create a lasting network of collaborations between partners, while
engaging citizens of different nationalities, ages and social classes in
participative and creative practices to improve the skills able to change their
attitude towards an inclusive proactive building of the democratic societ
