Last week, the first meeting within the Asun-Me project took place in Bucharest.The main objective of the Asun Me project is to develop the skills and capacities of young Roma and youth workers, supporting them to:
Cooperate together with a common strategy and reach the decision factorsDevelops competencies in policy making, monitoring, advocacy and making short films with a civic characterApproaches political decision-making factors, to present needs, challenges, perspectives for solutions in dialogue and through art [short films], to participate in the process of elaborating public policies.
The meeting started with a presentation of the Virtual Museum of Roma Culture, made by Delia Grigore, ethnologist, teacher, writer and activist for Roma rights.
Asun-Me is a project with a strong artistic component, and Delia’s presentation was insipractional and especially useful for what we are going to accomplish within the project.
